African King wines are made by the winery Zidela Wines, which was founded in 2001 by Danie Kritzinger and Herman Nell, two winemakers with many years of experience in the wine industry.

Based in Stellenbosch in the Western Cape, the heart of the South African wine region, this family owned winery has been working for years to fully understand its terroir and to make the most of it: fine wines with a strong identity.

AFRICAN KING VINEYARDS enjoy an ideal micro climates and terroir for the production of fine wines, thanks to a climate influenced by two oceans, combined with the numerous mountains and different soil types.
